Harriet Bishop Service Club's annual citywide collection drive set for April 25

In partnership with the City of Savage, the Harriet Bishop Service Club is holding its annual citywide collection drive on Saturday, April 25.

With support from Harriet Bishop Elementary School and Service Club members, the drive-up and drop-off collection will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at Savage City Hall, located at 6000 McColl Drive.

This year, the team is collecting non-perishable food items, gently used shoes, gently used children’s books, and unused, full-size bottles of body wash.

Donations will help support the efforts of Community Action Partnership of Scott, Carver and Dakota Counties (CAP Agency) Food Shelf, Shoe Away Hunger, The Free Book Buggie and Avenues for Youth.

Service Day Saturday is an annual, citywide collection drive in Savage that helps support the efforts of local nonprofit organizations. It is a youth-led event supported by the community, in honor of and running alongside hundreds of other events on Global Youth Service Day.

A special thank you goes out to the City of Savage, Savage Library and Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative for their support.
