Burnsville High School Theatre Guild presents 'The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical'
The Burnsville High School Theatre Guild is closing out Season 64 with "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical," an electrifying show based on the best-selling novel by Rick Riordan.
When teenager Percy Jackson (junior Zoe Lattery) discovers they’re a demigod and that Poseidon (junior Deacon Wening) is their father, they are thrust into a quest to prevent a war among the gods. Featuring a high-energy rock score, fantastical characters, and mythological mayhem, the musical takes audiences on a thrilling adventure.
“We’re so excited to bring this imaginative musical to our community,” said Director Maddie Stuart. “The cast and crew are working incredibly hard to bring this show to life. Every rehearsal has been full of energy, laughter, and a real passion for storytelling. I’m so grateful to spend my evenings with these students.”
Performances will take place at the Mraz Center for the Performing Arts at Burnsville High School on May 8-10, 15-16 at 7 p.m., with two final performances on May 17 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
